The Huntress

Sadly, I haven't made any new Pinterest recipes lately. Although during one of my lectures the other day I did pin 14 pictures of food that I will make...someday. This weekend and week instead I was a very studious college student...and I went hunting with my family.

 As I sat in the deer stand  last weekend I had a lot of time to ponder what it would be like to be Katniss Everdeen fighting in the Hunger Games. When I go bow hunting with my dad I feel like Katniss and not just because I am using a bow. I was sitting high in a tree (just like she did), waiting for some prey to come that I could shoot (just like she was looking for the other tributes), a bird almost attacked me (kind of like the Trackerjackers), I almost fell out of the tree when it became very windy (that is why she tied herself into the tree, what a smart girl!), and finally we were both sitting in the tree out of duty, not necessarily because we always dreamed of hunting (or being in the Hunger Games), but to fulfill our duty. Mine to do something my dad enjoys and hers to take the place of Prim, so Katniss and I are alike....very alike.
